Joo Chiat

A pre-war conservation shophouse restored and remodelled as a family home. The timber shutters, cast-iron vents and roof structure were kept and repaired; a new terrazzo floor, an open light well with a tree, a steel stair and a courtyard kitchen were added within the original shell.
